The Staff at Mount Hope Animal Hospital

Dr. Jared Cohen joined the staff at Mt. Hope Animal Hospital in July 2010. Dr. Cohen graduated from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 2009. He also received his undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois in 2004.

After graduating veterinary school, Dr. Cohen completed a one year rotating internship in small animal medicine at Oregon State University's veterinary school. Dr. Cohen's main professional interests include ophthalmology and cardiology, and he has an aspiration to eventually complete a specialty residency in ophthalmology.

Dr. Cohen is originally from Wheeling, Illinois, a northwest suburb of Chicago. He currently lives in Providence with his girlfriend Anne. They have a dog named Oscar and a cat named Stretch. Outside of work Dr. Cohen enjoys playing tennis and basketball, hiking, cooking, and spending time on the couch. Dr. Cohen is a die hard Chicago sports fan, especially Da Bulls, Da Bears and Da White Sox.
